生化湯的作用
生化湯又可以稱為坐月子湯，是產婦在新生兒出生後就要喝的「填腹」補品，不論是自然產、剖腹產或是小產，在產後坐月子的前十四天中，每天都要飲用生化湯。
生化湯的作用以養血、活血、化瘀為主，所以普遍用於婦女產後補血、幫助排除惡露，是坐月子期間很重要的調理功課；不僅可以活血補虛，更可以提高身體的力量，也有助於促進子宮收縮，幫助坐月子身體恢復以及惡露的排出。
 
喝生化湯的注意事項
生化湯屬於藥，所以不是吃越多越健康喔，生化湯吃太多反而會讓子宮收縮過度甚至造成傷害！坐月子期間體質非常敏感，每一口吃進身體的食物都要小心，因此份量要很注意，每個人體質不同天數可以依身體狀況斟酌，建議產後最多連續服用14天即可。
 
剖腹產也可以喝生化湯嗎?
剖腹產者，也需要在坐月子開始的前十四天服用生化湯，但是不能喝一般的生化湯，因為子宮有開刀的傷口，服用一般的生化湯，容易造成子宮收縮太過度造成傷口疼痛甚至出血，所以應該服用莊博士特調的五味生化湯（坐月子湯）來調補身體。
